Our group from the Central Coast Ukulele Club are off to Darwin to play our ukuleles and share the love of music with our northern counter parts. Very exciting and we are proud to be part of MUFF..Mandorah Ukulele and folk Festival – See you there!
CENTRAL COAST UKULELE FESTIVAL
We have an exciting festival lined up for you this year.
Some of our super acts are The Nukes from New Zealand, AJ Leonard and Jenny Rowlings, Mirrabooka, Rose Ertle, Michael Jones, The Panton Hill Ukulele Group from Melbourne, The Blue Mugs, Newcastle, The Swingalele’s, … and much much more.. a rough guideline thus far is…
Thursday 24th September a wonderful evening from 6pm with AJ Leonard and Jenny Rowlings. This ukulele workshop and show at ‘The Diggers at the Entrance’ is a new show AJ has put together for us… it is guaranteed to be a wonderful evening. Friday 25th September is our Dinner show from 6pm Dinner show. This will be a fabulous evening and a brilliant show is planned for you with entertainment from Michael Jones, The Nukes, and much more…The dinner show tickets will be on sale from Monday 15th June. The after show party will continue in the lounge with the sensational Danielle duo.
Saturday 26th .. The big first day of our festival with ukulele collectives performances from around the country, major acts, markets, food hosted by the brilliant Lucky Starr from 10.30-4pm (free) Memorial Park… free event
Saturday 26th evening at The Diggers At The Entrance… at Ukulele night of live acts, ukulele jams, ukulele bands..acts.. open uke from 7pm- late.. free event
Sunday 27th A grand ukulele breakfast workshop and performances on The Sails Stage.. Surrounded by delicious cafe and by the waterfront… A brilliant day of live music from our international acts, local ukulele collectives and musicians…. free event

Thursday 24th – the Diggers Club, Long Jetty – ukulele workshop with special guests – from 6pm
Friday 25th – The Diggers Club Long Jetty – Dinner Show – brilliant acts, from 6pm
plus entertainment in lounge and dinner show/accommodation packages available.
Saturday 26th – Memorial Park, The Entrance, a huge ukulele day, performances, workshops, drums, dancers, markets, and so much more
Saturday night 26th, super ukulele Jam along with Mirrabooka and special guests, Free event, The Diggers Club, Long Jetty. Bring your ukes and learn some new songs or just sing along .

We’re Back
Hello and welcome back to our site…
After a much needed break at Christmas and Surviving the summer holidays break we are back in full swing.
All classes are back to normal.
Lake Munmorah is now at a new at New Location
The Beach House or Colongra Bay Hall… just a few seconds from the old class at the “Bowlo” we are now positioned at the end of Colongra Bay road to the Lakes Edge at the Community Hall or as we say the Beach House.
It is a fantastic location and wonderful facilities including a big kitchen, huge hall and great facilities, also with fabulous BBQ facilities where we often put on a BBQ for our members after class.
We are there every Monday from 10.30am-12.30pm. Morning tea is provided with beautiful views and access to the Lake. A gentle sea breeze flows through the huge double doors as we serenade the black swans as they drift past us on the Lake.
New work books are now available and new and exciting performances each week.
We are off to Anna Bay (One mile beach) in late March for our ukulele “Woodstock” weekend with a “Beatles Trivia night”, Square dancing and jamming fun.
Off to Darwin in June for the Mandorah Ukulele Festival..stand by for further details.
Plus preparations for our own festival in September….(last weekend in September)
Last weekend we enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the Blue Mountains Festival.
We are as keen as mustard to embrace 2015 with ukulele fun and laughter.

What on and coming up for the Central Coast Ukulele Club
Friday 21st November – Sunday 23rd November 2014
we are heading north west to The Upper Hunter Valley and camping out at Denman. With mountains, wineries and culinary delights, the Upper Hunter and the good life we are having a “ukulele Woodstock”. So get out your hippie clothes, candles, incense, beautiful songs from the 60’s and 70’s and join us. Friday night karaoke ukulele, Saturday BBQ’s, Yoga, drum circle, Saturday night we are learning square dancing, a fabulous concert from Mirrabooka and Ohana and then a “Woodstock” trivia night. Sunday BBQ and then enjoy the day at the wineries.
Sunday 30th November 2014 – The Entrance Hotel from 3-7pm
Come and join us in our open Mic/open uke afternoon.
Bring along your ukuleles and sing and strum with us as we lead you through some great songs. If you are a bit of a performer try your hand at our open mic, ukulele preferred but guitar welcome. Free entry, Raffles, prizes, all family friendly.

Saturday evening – then we head over to the Entrance Hotel for our Open Uke night – come and join in the ukulele jam, open uke and special guests from 7-11pm
SUNDAY – back at 9am with ukulele workshop breakfast and loads of entertainers, groups, bands, all live music coming your way. We’ll finish the festival with a huge number from the Central Coast Ukulele Club.
