The Central Coast Ukulele Festival 2022

Aloha to all!

The Central Coast Ukulele club are in our tenth year and we would like to celebrate our 9th/10th Festival (would have been 10th however due to COVID-19 we had to cancel last year and 2020).

We are planning a fun and slightly different Central Coast Ukulele Festival this year adding a new venue who have kindly come forward and offered their entire club for our special event. More to come shortly.

The advice to me is they are slowly returning to normal and complying strictly to social distancing and hygiene. The Central Coast Ukulele Festival is welcome to go ahead as it has always been a popular community event with live music, workshops an all-in ukulele jam and sing-along, live ukulele groups and acts, raffles, merchandise tables, markets stalls and more.

Planning is in line with COVID restrictions and regulations.

When:           March 4,5,6 2022

Where:           Wangi Wangi RSL, suburb on Lake Macquarie

275 Watkins Rd, Wangi Wangi NSW

Accommodation is available at Wangi Wangi and surrounding areas of Lake Macquarie. There is brilliant camping, van parks and grounds in the area and around the Central Coast. If you have a boat Swansea, Belmont, Blacksmiths, Caves beach, Gwandalan are easy access as there is a boat ramp opposite the club.

Details of program will be advised once all applications are final.

Wangi Wangi is 30 minutes from Wyong, 1.5 hours from Sydney, 36 minutes from Ourimbah, 50 minutes from The Entrance, 50 minutes from Newcastle.

Wangi Wangi (/ˈwɒndʒi wɒndʒi/) is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South WalesAustralia, which forms a peninsula jutting eastwards into Lake Macquarie. Wangi Wangi is a well-known holiday spot, that was frequented in the early days by families from the coalfields. It is known for its beautiful views, bushwalking, and fishing spots.

Wangi is also well known as the former home of artist William Dobell. Dobell’s 1948 Wynne Prize winning landscape Storm Approaching Wangi depicts the locality.

Along with event attendees all over the world, we’ve been watching the COVID-19 pandemic as it evolves. We recognize how stressful this particular situation is, and we share your concerns.

We stand with all of you and the broader event community during a time when our industry is being deeply affected. We have faith and are putting in place all safeguards to have a great festival.

Looking forward to seeing you and your music

Applications will be available shortly
